Yuugi jumped when he saw his missing Atem! So...he was alive?! The younger didn't even think, barely even breathed, he rushed passed the guard that had his poor Atem all tied up and hugged the other first and foremost before saying or doing anything else!

He wasn't dead, he wasn't hurt too badly...it must have been so awful for him. He knew he should have tried harder to search for him!

Tied up as he was there wasn't much he could do to reciprocate the hug, simply leaning into it as best as he could. Though he didn't seem to hurt, maybe a little slimmer than he had been before, but other than that he was smiling and seemed to be in good spirits.

The messenger thinking the young king was about to jump right into what the purpose of this particular gift was left a key and turned to leave. There was no way he wanted to get caught up in the middle of that.

"Aibou." He murmured after the other had gone.

Yuugi immediately untied him. "You're okay?! I'm sorry I knew I should have tried harder to look for you! I thought that you had...but that was stupid of me to think! I should have known better! I'm sorry..."

He hugged him around the waist and squeezed him, thought not hard enough to hurt. "...I'm sorry!"

He hadn't really imagined the amount of stress Yuugi must have been going through during all of this. It was really showing itself now, causing Atem to wince, and not just because his rubbed-raw wrists had finally been freed. He didn't like seeing Yuugi like this, didn't like knowing it was his fault.

"Everything is alright." His voice was calm as he reached out to place a hand on the younger's shoulder. "I'm okay. There's no need to apologize."
