We have to regroup and rest for a while, perhaps come up with a new strategy - looking around the City like this isn't working. I'm not sure with how Yuuko-san plans to find Sakura-chan's brother, but is it possible for her to use the same method to find Sakura-chan herself?

Saving your life... has got to be one of the best things I've ever done. But it doesn't erase the fact that you suffered for the sake of the entire Planet, and I did nothing to help you.

I just need to rest up, Spike. Don't go all mama chocobo on me. ^^;; And I'd like that. But... just running around does nothing but drain our strength, especially with this heat. I'm onto to something here, but it might take a while. So... could you just keep your eyes and ears open or something? I'd appreciate it. ^^;

Why would I be ashamed of you? You did your best and you kicked ass, Spike. You saved so many lives. You saved the whole Planet. Twice.

And none of it was your fault. None of it. It was all Hojo's and Jenova's Bahamut-damned fault. You were a victim, just like we all were. And it doesn't matter if you aren't exactly like me. Fact is, you pulled through, using what you got. I doubt I'd be able to do half as much.

...But you're like a mama chocobo looking out for her chicks, sometimes. It's cute. ♥
