Congratulations on this truly epic achievement, dude. I am constantly in awe of the sacrifice and compromise and communication and accommodation that is necessary for two people to make a marriage work. I don't think I have even a fraction of the selflessness required to pull off a successful relationship for THIRTEEN years.

Thank you so much for taking a moment to leave that comment... it means a lot to me that people recognize that 13 years of committing to anything is kinda a miracle in this day and age... and dont feel too bad about being selfish for youself.... most of the success of my marriage was due to my husband being EXTREMELY tolerant of my sometimes anti-social behavior... thanks again!

Congrats! I think this year marks twelve for Dan and I. We're common law, and I don't remember dates, LOL, but it was 1997, for sure. LOL.

I can totally relate with ups and downs, but they make us all better stronger people... or kill us, LOL.

Thanks hun! I know you know what its like- you've had your fair share of spousal issues too... I've never been one to 'give up' on much of anything and even though I see people trashing their marriages like so much yesterdays newpaper... I guess there's just enough stubborn streak in me to 'hang tough'.

Congrats to you guys as well... in this day and age- any relationship that lasts more than 5 years I think is a miracle.
