One of those that I like, although I can't say precisely why. I do notice that his math skills leave a little to be desired. If he first saw her at sixteen and her age has doubled, she would be thirty-two, vice thirty-four. But then, what would rhyme with "two" when "four" works so well.

These poets are not great at arithmetic are they ? !

I think he may be teasing her about how honest she is being about her age in fact -still not very gentlemanly :)

I think it's not very polite to tell someone that 'years and size have doubled' :) Now I have an image of her being skinny at 16 but fat with over thirty. He had a knack for nymphs, had he? :)

Well he had an unusual set of relationships with women certainly which could be the equivalent of a knack for nymphs ;)
