Dean and Sam discover a new case; Dean and Sam kick some ass; Episode ends with Dean and Sam having a painfully sad conversation. It just seems like every episode is paced this way... don't get me wrong... I LOVE their quiet little chats... but I prefer them to be more interspersed in the episode (a la A Very Supernatural Christmas) and not always crammed at the end. It's boring.

THIS. You totally read my mind. As soon as the scene with the two of them sitting at the picnic table came up I knew it was heart-to-heart time. *eyeroll* I've noticed the episodes end either with A) Jensen crying or B) The boys having a heart-to-heart. It's totally boring. And they need to stop that shit and soon.

That is all. /end rant

OMG thank goodness I'm not alone. It got REALLY old last season. It just seemed lazy. Boyz are mopey; boyz find case; boyz kill monster; dean/sam open up about dean dying; dean cries. EVERY episode. I mean the scenes themselves are GOLD but jesus Kripke.

I'm happy you're back! :D

I will always love whatever Supernatural throws at me, but I do agree with what you said about the layout of each episode being the same. It's gets kinda old. But other than that I have nothing to complain about. This season is going to be awesome!

I agree. This season is going to RAWK!!!!! But they gotta move away from this formulaic stuff... especially as they gather steam and press and ratings and stuff.

I agree with what you said about SPN. Especially seeing as I spend the whole episode getting sucked in thinking "oh they seem to be getting along well today after all" and then suddenly at the end they bust out with the manly tears and talks of separation. It would be way better interspersed throughout the other events of the show and then we would get to see the boys dealing with their 'issues' in a practical sense! It's like they are trying too hard to end on a bombshell or whatever but it's starting to get tedious and disappointing.

Just getting The Office off the college network now but no one has uploaded Glee episode 3 yet ugh! I love it though; it's like my guilty habit. So bad it's good.

Eee! Exciting about your niece! Good luck with your job interview too! Think happy thoughts.

You're totally right about feeling like the "I'm leaving you" scene coming from outta the blue.

Agreed RE Glee. Guilty pleasure for sure! That and the Rachel Zoe Project. OMG the shame I feel. :D Talk about a show about nothing... but it's fab. :)

If you recall, during the episode, Sam and Dean were squabbling over Dean letting Sam go out to fight the demons, and one of their discussions ended up with Sam so angry at Dean, he pushed him into the wall! So there were many hints in this ep and last week that this was coming. Many!

Yes, thank you I was capable of noticing the obvious hints so it wasn’t completely shocking for me. It was kind of hard to miss that Sam pushed Dean into a wall. People view things in different ways so please forgive me for not seeing an episode the way you do when I first watch it. I am living in hope of the old chemistry between Sam and Dean so perhaps I do see events with a biased, optimistic eye. My thinking is that you have to acknowledge that overall there are also indications of the ‘underlying brotherly connection’, such as Dean’s unwillingness to give up his charm to Castiel which I guess (and hope) are the factors that will lead to their eventual reunion. =)

I was referring more to the overall composition of the episode as was nodazzle’s original comment. Personally I found that part of the script forced and the entire scene underwhelming melodramatic given its clichéd placement at the end of the episode. There is just something about the animation of the whole episode and plot, then the sudden, jarring cut to beautiful scenery to ( ... )

I'm watching Fringe right now! I love this show. :D

David guest hosted in place of Regis on Live with Regis and Kelly. He did some promoting for Californication and helped to interview Ricky Gervais and the other guest... he did some chit chat with Kelly. He's done it a few times... he was on the WHOLE episode. And he looked goooooood. :)

Worth looking for it on youtube...

Good luck to you and hubby for your interviews!

Also, Jane Lynch alone makes Glee worth watching. I love the show, but she's definitely the best. Think we hear her singing at some point? ;)
