I don't know how gossipy it may or not be--the site cites the Kommersant newspaper as the source, so I guess it depends on whether the newspaper is a reliable source and whether they had a source in turn, or were just speculating. It's hard for us to judge on the outside.

LOL, I considered is being in a good light because it would have to take nerves of steel to run this community that grew so big and so fast and is mentioned everywhere as a reference. Because you kept the drama out of here and the discussions are so worth reading.

I know you had a few flare ups, but you stomped them out quickly and with style. You should be proud.

I will answer this my self, its true, GJ is heading for big time trouble, they are asking new users to go to IJ.

I have to say I like IJ, it reminds me of LJ before sixapart. I guess it has ads also though :(

well GJ happens to have the biggest userbase when it comes to lj clones, so it could be that they feel its just too much work and are getting really lazy... thats the impression i get anyway. at one point i recall they were literally begging for volunteers to help out with the site. with lj its more about making changes that no one likes. whereas gj isnt making any changes at all, period, and we all know the old saying "He who is resistant to change is destined to parish", although that could be applied to LJ as well. ;)
