A couple more notes on Snap.com

Oct 26, 2007 11:26

#1: One interesting thing about the new mass opt in is all syndicated accounts now have Snap.com on them--and since nobody owns those, nobody can turn them off. This might end up being the way to monotenize syndicated accounts with ads.

#2: As of yet, it does not work so well with SUP's site scheme, which has links to its external sites.

This sounds like a reason to have LJ cancel my syndicated feeds of my content; inserting ads is not what I want and is probably against the creative commons licensing I hold on my work.

Well, there's not ads on them yet anyway. Just search suggestions to help Snap.com promote their search engine.

I am hoping you can help me...I have enabled snap.com and shots.snap.com to allow cookies, I have told snap.com to be disabled on all sites multiple times, and I have restarted my browser. Still when I mouse over external links snap comes up. Do you know how to fix this?

Check to make sure your browser isn't clearing cookies when you close it.

Which I much prefer, since I clear cookies and other information each time I close Firefox.
