I finished work today. I georeferenced historical maps to contemporary satellite imagery, and also wrote documentation for some basic statistical software. It was easygoing and pleasant, in a starkly modern sort of way- I rate it PG Ballard. -

While taking BART back to my room from Oakland this afternoon, I couldn't help but notice that someone had spraypainted the name "Stephen P. Morrissey" on a concrete wall.
Such a little thing, but the difference it made was great. -

College
Berkeley is a lot of fun. I've already seen two movies I've long wanted to see (Un Chien Andalou and Battle Royale) and started one book I've recently wanted to read (J.G. Ballard's Crash). I'm somewhat envious of people taking enjoyable-sounding classes on art history and such, but I suppose that's what I get for wanting to study economics. -
