I walk the Walk of the Righteous today, for I have exercised. My shiny new heart rate monitor tells me I burned 677 calories this morning, my first trip back to my gym in weeks.

Have you ever gotten your body fat percentage done? It's a much better indicator of relative fitness than the number on the scale. You can get it done at the SERF for $7 as a student--they can do it with calipers, which is much more accurate than the electric current method. Anyway, it helped reassure me that my crazed three weeks of trying to get back in shape really are helping even if I have a few more pounds to lose to get back to my starting weight.
