My Year in Fanfic Meme, 2012

I wasn’t really thinking I would do this, since I was pretty sure I wouldn’t have even visited my LJ in months.  And then, well, Jori happened.

But the best thing in fic this year was being invited to speak at panels at FemslashCon.  It was so much fun, (though computer f*ups of annoyance!) and there were so many ideas ( Read more... )

Urgh, I'm so sorry, because I meant to wish you a happy birthday and bomb you with Emma links, and then life caught up and conked me over the head and threw me into a closet for over a week, and now it's a very belated Happy Birthday wish and no links and I feel so bad about it... maybe the only good thing is that no one has replied to this, so it might be the start of a birthday present.

Best Story: Hard debate between Time Machines and the Lovlelace Protocol. In the end, I'll have to go with Lovelace Protocol. It offers a fascinating new version of Emma and Emily, with very different dynamics than usual, and so much potential for worldbuilding and sexiness (steampunk is often Victorian, so all those fun clothes and pervertedness...). Emma being a rogue triple agent, and probably having to deal with Captain Emily... it just offers so much.

Most Fun: I think What Happened in Vegas Timestamps. It was brilliant, combining the best of confused Emily, stunned JJ, and sexually indifferent (to certain people) Emma. It was short but ( ... )

As I say everytime I post a comment here or on ff.net I think you're a genius.

Best Story: Rhiannon because every time I see Fake Empire it makes my day and I never know if I have to read it very slowly so it last longer or if I read very fast to finally see what crazy plot you came up with!

Most Fun: What Happened in Vegas because I love when Emily is beeing a tease.

Most Disappointing: I have to say the lack of updates, I've checked this website almost every week then I discovered the alert thing on ff.net and I haven't received a lot of alerts.

Story Most Surprisingly appreciated by ME: Animals and Prizes! Usually I can't stand anything teenage related so I can't believe I'm loving everything about it.

Anyway I hope you find the inspiration to write more.
I would love to read your original work, as soon as it's out I'm buying it!
