Yay you finished it!applespankApril 21 2009, 16:54:41 UTC
Whoa. I think it was a good thing that I took a deep breath before I read all this, because I saw absolutely none of this coming. My poor Kara! and the Leoben awesomeness! This was a complete mindfrak. I like that you took things this differently, because then in the end you actually had a plot purpose for keeping Kendra alive.. and not just because you didn't want her to die back then. I am a big fan of things clicking into place like that.
My favourite part was probably Kendra's death. I like the image of her with the dogtag, of there being nothing more afterwards. All in all I loved how you wrapped everything up, that is was a complete story. I'm just a little taken back by all the deaths now, I don't do well with bsg death, on the show OR in fic (....except Dee. I didn't mind that because I'm awful)
and aaw I got a special thanks and everything. Will you be writing anything else now? (look at me being pushy, already)
Pure awesome. First of all, that's a really cool resolution to the whole story - nice twists that brought it all together really well. I had a vague idea that something like this might happen, but you took it to a whole other level and i loved it. Second, Kara! Kendra! sad. I was very proud of Kara in this. Finding her own meaning for the prophecy in such a powerful way. But it still made me sad. of course. Third, stylistically this chapter was great. Just beautifully written. I loved the Leoben dialogue, and I especially love the opening with Kendra. Really nice and set the mood up perfectly.
Thanksya! Thanks, I worked hard to make everything fit together a lot. Yes, yes! I knew they were both going to die from the second I started writing the first chapter. And I knew it was going to be huge and sad and epic. But yes! The Prophecy was always iffy, like how much did the Cylons know about it. But I think I did an okay job of tying that together. Even stylistically? Wow. Thanksya! I always try to keep all that very dark and consistent, glad it worked!
Thanksya! And I agree, there needs to be MUCH more Kara/Kendra. It's practically obvious in Razor, especially the scene in the kitchen or whatever. That's got to be one of my favourite scenes in all of BSG!
That was great! I have never read any Kara/Kendra fic before, and I'm glad this was my first. As much as I hate any Kara dying ideas, I really liked what you did with this. I really enjoyed the story and what you did with the characters and I am looking forward to more of your work!
Thanks! Kara/Kendra has become my OTP, which means I need to fill the fic gap with them, haha! I actually planned Kara to die from the beginning, so I was able to try and make things work out and not make it a character death for the sake of having a character death. I'm thinking it worked? Haha! Thanks so much for reading!

there should be more Kara/Kendra fics out there.
some great potential there, and your fic is a very good example of it.
