ive certainly had a few greatly loved animals pass in my day, but ive never been in this weird limbo zone of knowing theyre going to die soon, but probably not that soon, but then again probably not that far away. this weird sick waiting game of waiting until the cancer becomes too much for him to handle - and trying to make that judgment on the ( Read more... )

We went through the same thing with Sammie, same cancer I think. At the end it was a tough call to say it was time. She was still happy in the day, if very subdued, but at night the pain meds didn't touch the pain and she would cry. We had the best last day together playing in the river and drinking chocolate milk. :) hugs
