“You’ll like it, I promise.”  He put distance between them now, and then started, realizing in a flash of embarrassment that he had no idea where the gift had been placed.  Of course it couldn’t be somewhere obvious

We all have those weeks, and I'm fully in support of the idea that you've got to vent somewhere. Why not LJ?

But...aw! John and Delenn. They are just so sweet. I love John setting the mood and giving her gifts. It's awesome, and something I wish we'd seen in the series.

Agreed. The little bit that we did see just made me think - he likes to do surprises and special gifts. He SO would not be a "Happy birthday, here's a trash compactor" kind of guy.

Hey, whine away. (And I didn't mean to make you think that your cut wasn't worthy - just that you probably didn't need to go to the doctor over it.) If you felt you couldn't whine, then I would feel like I couldn't whine, and that's not fair. (I actually would have typed up a whine last night, but the nature of the whine was such that I was in no way fit to actually get on the computer, so.)

(OTHER HEADACHES, IM'MA LET YOU FINISH, BUT THE HEADACHE I HAD YESTERDAY WAS THE WORST HEADACHE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. OF MY ENTIRE LIFE.)

Fic yaaaaaaaaaay! I wish I could have read this last night, aw. But it was a nice treat to come home to today! I love John and his nervousness about giving her a gift, and not being able to find it - such a nice callback to the engagement ring. And I love the gift itself, and the meaning you imbue it with is just lovely.

Sigh. Very happy now.
