Strike Gundam WIP Post 1

Jan 31, 2010 08:47

Alright, so this is going to be a very long, very image heavy post with a lot of tl;dr. I'm pretty much going to be working down the entire process of how a model goes just being strait snapped together to being a fully finished painted work. :V

If you have no interest in gundam models, lol just skip this post.

A LOT OF PICTURES UNDER THE CUT. :V )

tutorial, model kit, life, gundam models, gundam seed

Oh Jesus.

I was thinking about painting my Tallgeese III 1/144 model that I have (or was it a 1/100. I don't remember, it's at Void's place), or at least parts of it since it seems that some of the pieces aren't color-coded and that kind of irks me. But seeing all that you go through to put it together... Oh God, so intimidated.

And I don't have an airbrush, so I figured that doing it by regular brush would be okay. God, now I'm so freaking nervous >o

Waaah, sorry! I'm not trying to intimidate anyone or anything! I just wanted to show what I do for my gundamz. I've been doing this hobby for well over a decade now, so don't worry too much about what I do!

The important thing is to have fun and be proud of what you make. Everyone starts somewhere, and I can vouch for doing good things with just brushes! If you want any direct advice about materials or techniques though, I'm happy to help, as well!

Gundams are always time consuming, especially since I can rarely do a lot of work in one sitting.

I'm not even close to done with it, either! I'm still actually airbrushing that set of parts in the last picture. But I'll be keeping this space updated with progress as it goes!

(This writeup took forever. XD)
