First

I went to this Harry Potter Wizard Rock Event on campus. It was this guy who wrote songs from the point of view of the Weasley twins and they were okay but really loud.

And then there was an entire song about how Ginny was a whore.

No I am not even fucking kidding.

I'm so, so sorry you had to see those sick images. I've seen jerks edit that garbage onto a Twilight wiki, which is fucking immature and twisted, especially considering that 12-year-olds would be looking at it, but why the hell would someone target a LEGO Batman wiki page? What. The fuck? Just. ARGH. SMASH.

I say write to him. Sure, it might not do much, but at least you'll have tried to talk some sense into him. I don't get Ginny hate. At all. Also, why would the Weasley slut shame their own sister? That just breaks the theme there. Uggggghhhh.

Do you know what the Wrock band's name was? Uhg, and I'm disappointed the Draco and the Malfoys guys chimed in with that, as I thought they were pretty nice.

There are always just enough assholes in the world to spoil it for everybody else.

I would encourage you to write to these jerks. You can be very eloquent when you're angry, which is one of my favorite things about you. It may or may not do any good, but their response could be a good jerk test, whether they're just parroting a popular wank they think is funny without realizing the full implications of what they're doing, or whether they're just dicks.

I hope Justin shared your outrage.

In regards to the troll, is there any way to specifically log out that creep?

I also encourage you to write back to the wizard rock guys, chances are that if no one tells them that that kind of stuff isn't okay, they'll just keep repeating it.

As for spam... people on the internet can be cruel, such is the bane of having a secret identity. Hope that things get better from here on up.

I say you should go ahead and send that Wizard Rock guy a (polite but strongly worded) letter. You have a knack for calling people out on this sort of thing. I don't know if it'll make a difference, because I don't know if a guy who'd do that sort of thing in the first place will care, but venting a little will probably make you feel better and somebody should say something. After all, you went out wanting to have a good time doing something fandom related, not hear a bunch of misogynistic slurs. (Also, while I'm not all that familiar with Harry Potter, and the Draco and the Malfoys guy might just have been staying in character since Draco is an asshole, I'm not quite sure why this guy thinks that the Weasley twins would say shit like that about their own little sister, so it sounds like the singer was just being a jerk for shock value ( ... )
