Pretty amazing isn't it? Or course, I assume that by the time you get to the far north or south you'd hardly be able to see the rings and at the poles not at all. Which means if we DID have them... well even aside from that specific point - if we DID have rings around our planet can you imagine what it'd be like for the earliest travelers? Or for

Myths and legends would've been so different if Earth had rings :)

I know! It doesn't change shape like the moon, doesn't come and go with day or night or move across the sky like either the moon or the sun... it's always there. Always constant. Lighting the sky at night.

I don't know how it'd be portrayed, but I'm guessing the god(ess) asossiated with it would be pretty damn important, and powerful.

But yeah, I'd love to see the myths and religious ideas surrounding it, the artwork.
