Great...College Time Again

Jan 02, 2007 18:50

Now normally I would be all excited about returning to College after the holidays, but not this time! My Christmas was just fine; in fact it was almost perfect. But I can’t help but feel somewhat robbed of my fun during New Years. All day I have been getting phone calls from friends who tell me that they had the best New Years of their lives. But ( Read more... )

I dont believe in the death scentance. For anyone. No matter what they did. I'm Christian and I guess that has something to do with my views. Jesus asked for his killers to be forgiven not killed. Jesus is God made man. The bible tells us no one is more important than God. So people who kill people shouldn't be killed if God's killers were not killed.

Also the bible says "thou shalt not kill" not "thou may kill someone in revenge"

You aren't the only one who feels the same way. Weather I believe in it or not...I'm not 100% sure. But you did raise some pretty deep points there, no doubt. But in a way, I can imagine that spending the rest of your life in a cold jail cell...waiting to die is a more fitting punishment.

How right you are! :D

Yeah I think so too sit in a jail cell and think about your crimes...I know if it was me it would drive me crazy. Or at least it would be just punishment.

I haven't watched the youtube thing, didnt even know it existed, but I am not going to. Watching someone die and not in a natural way....it just seems wrong to me (hell I cant even watch horror movies that involve people being killed how am I supposed to watch that). It's bad enough watching someone die naturally. Heck, I couldnt deal with it when my hamster died in my hands....yeah staying away from that video

I didn't do shit for New Years. lol. I helped somebody organize this big party, and I was at the party, but it was all business people. Not my scene.

I watched it on YouTube. Yay, now I have that visual in my head all day. :/

My New Years was all right. Nothing big. Got back from a trip the day before New Years Eve and just kinda waited for the clock to hit 12XD Drank some apple cider and that was it. As for the whole execution thing, not something I want to watch either. Just in general and also cuz I read Dead Man Walking and In Cold Blood...enough death and prisons for a long while. I swear...every book my teacher picked for reading had something to do with death>_

Yours sounds awesome compared to mine. lol. And I did something very similar a few years back. And even though it was so plain...I still had a great time. :)

Yeah tell me about it. Its a new year and I don't think I wana start it by watching something like that. Heh. I use to have a freaky teacher like that back in high school. At least you picked up on that. Some people don't notice or ignore those little factors.

I'm apathtic for the death sentence. For what he did, I'd say that he got off easy, rather than going though it for each and every person he had put to death, thre times fold ( ... )
