DVD of the Week

This week's batch of anime DVD releases contains a real treat for all you ecchi fans out there. In order to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the fan-service OVA series Agent Aika, Japan released a totally hot prequel OVA series in 2007. Now, we're lucky enough to get all 3 steamy episodes of Agent Aika R-16: Virgin Mission on one DVD thanks to Bandai Entertainment! We managed to show the first episode here on NebsTV before the series got licensed last year, so any of you who caught that should know exactly what to expect from the remaining episodes. In short: I'm definitely picking this one up.

For those who still like your anime girls but not in such a fan-servicey way, there comes two other NebsTV series this week. One is the latest DVD of Kanon, the highly praised sad-girls-in-snow moe series from Key & Kyoto Animation. Although it's based off an ERO hentai game, you wont find anything more than extreme cuteness in the anime adaptation. & then there's the latest volume of Simoun, another series that you'd think be dirtier then it really is. Every person in the world of this series is a girl, & thus they're all lesbians. So you get tons of girl-on-girl kissing in this series, but the context & feel of this series is so great that you never really go "whoa, HOT!" after the first kiss or two.

Finally, bring on the complete collection box-sets! There's the first Full Metal Panic series from ADV (of which we showed one of the later series here), Coyote Ragtime Show also from ADV, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam 2 from Bandai, & Silent Mobius again from Bandai. So if you like full series & you like ADV and/or Bandai, then this is the week for you!
