Early submissions are welcome.
Please put your story Title and Author's name in the subject line.
If your story is currently untitled, please note *Untitled* and Author's name in the subject line.
Rough drafts can be sent in as the body of the text, or as an attachment. If it's sent as an attachment, please send it as a .doc, .rtf or .txt file.
Your rough draft does not need to be beta'd at this time. To qualify for the main Art Claim this year, your rough draft must be a minimum of 10,000 words, and close enough to being finished that you are certain you will complete it on time. Once your story is claimed, you have an Artist counting on you to post your work.
If you have a completed Micro Bang story, you may send it in, but it will not be included in the August Art Claim. If all of the 10K+ stories are claimed for art, we will run a separate Art Claim in September for the Micro Bang stories.

Yes, you are allowed to submit multiple stories for the art claim provided they are at least 10,000 words and will be completed and beta'd by the end of September.
Missed Deadline?
What's late? I'd like to have all the summaries by 17 August, but as long as you get it in by sometime on 19 August, we can still add your story summary. Please remember that some Artists may be making their choices based on the summaries presented on 19 August and I usually post the summaries fairly early in the day.
What if you miss the Art Claim deadline altogether? You are still welcome to post your story and may provide your own art or post your story without art.
