I'll address a few of these to start things rolling.

2: How did Rachel end up his prisoner instead of Miles?
My guess is that Rachel was one of the impetuses for Miles realizing that he'd gone too far to the darkside and wanted out. When Bass realized the detention of Rachel was having this effect on Miles's loyalty, he came up with an elaborate plan to take her out of the picture, faking her death and hiding her underground. This was one in a series of betrayals on both Bass's and Miles's parts that led to their breakup.

3: What changed Bass from the man who didn't want to kill the looters, to a man who...sent Jeremy to Canada.Bass told us in ep. 20 that he'd done everything in his life for Miles. Now, we know that's not true (sleeping with Emma *ahem*), but he certainly had convinced himself of that in regards to the Republic and his recent sins. What changed about Bass was I think a desire for personal revenge against Miles. He wanted Miles back, would have forgiven him, but if he couldn't have Miles back he'd spend his days ( ... )

I keep poking the timeline on Rachel, Miles and Bass here. There are two options I can see:

I really need the show to give me an answer on this timeline. I agree that if Rachel was still Miles' prisoner while he started up with Nora, it's a bit weird and creepy, so he must have thought she was dead already? He was with nora 5 years ago and Rachel became Bass' prisoner (officially?) 4 years ago. So I guess your option of him letting her go and then Bass capturing her and faking her death could work.

All we can really agree on for sure is that he has been known to straight-iron her hair for her.

LOL, maybe that was Jeremy's job. I love her hair all wavy now. Although nobody beats Bass' curls. Whoever was in charge of Rachel's hair care regime... Could they give Miles a haircut, please?

No one can give Miles a haircut. That mess has DEVOURED scissors. We need defoliation now.

Poor Bass, nobody loves him and wants to discuss him! I hope it's because of the 4th of July weekend (happy Independence Day Americans!) and won't feed into his paranoia that everyone is against him.

1: Do you think that Sebastian Jnr actually exists? Or was he a lie Emma made up to try and save her life? Unfortunately, it's going to be the former, even though I wish I could erase that whole episode (and that revelation) from my brain. So yes, Bass Jr. exists, with Bass' luck he's a rebel who's been fighting against the Republic most of his life. And when he meets Miles, he'll immediately connect with him, because everyone prefers Miles over Bass. I'm not a fan of instant!kids, especially the grownup kind and especially especially if they're sole existence is a catalyst for redemption. Just because he's biologically related to the guy doesn't mean he's family or has any right to parental claims. I guess it could be worse, Miles could suddenly become a dad. He is NOT Charlie's dad, I will hunt Kripke down myself if that happens.

re: 5

I kinda don't see Bass getting on well with Ben - if Ben was the golden son of the family. Everything in Bass' life is about Miles, and if Ben overshadowed Miles then Bass would have resented that. He obviously spent some time with the family (enough for Rachel to know he was a womanising drunk) but I'm not sure he was VERY close with them. He wasn't that worried about them after the Blackout, he went along with MILES - who's his family - and we never see him try and establish any sort of emotional bond with the kids - which would have been useful.

Yeah, I could see that. It'd be interesting if Miles never despised Ben for being the Golden Son, but Bass despised him for Miles. I definitely think you're right about him not being that close around the blackout, because he definitely didn't seem to care about them (but then again- did Miles ever find them, before forming the Militia, or did he just give up when they weren't where they were supposed to be?) but I wonder if when they were kids, if he might have been closer to Ben/their ( ... )

What makes you guys think Ben was the golden son, out of curiosity? If Miles comes from a military family, wouldn't Ben potentially be the black sheep?

Ten Days later....

1: Do you think that Sebastian Jnr actually exists? Or was he a lie Emma made up to try and save her life?

Yes. Because the Writers think it'll make things more interesting. (FAMILY is the watchword remember!) Also, if I can't get me some canon Monroe/Charlie I may just have to settle for some Monroe Jr/Charlie - (I need one or the other, if I can't have Miles and I can't have Bass with Charlie...I'm not giving up and liking Jason) so I almost want him to exist because (conflicted, honest, grey) Bass has reappeared and (the terrible monstrous) Monroe has receded a bit since this 'revelation' happened.

2: How did Rachel end up his prisoner instead of Miles?

Does it matter? I can't care about this until Miles spills his guts to Charlie about the whole mess.

3: What changed Bass from the man who didn't want to kill the looters, to a man who...sent Jeremy to Canada.OH SAD FACE. Don't remind me. I love Bass. Almost as much as I love Charlie. But that moment...just all the swears. That was a dick move, wait for the ( ... )

+ Is Monroe going to feel guilty about Jeremy next season? Will there be flashbacks? (Memory) Hauntings?

Jeremy who? Seriously, besides mentioning him in flashbacks and pretending he's off somewhere else, I doubt we'll get any mention of Jeremy next season. It's not like Kip got another mention after he was killed and I doubt Alec will ever be mentioned again. Continuity? What continuity? *is not bitter at all*

How does Monroe see Charlie - as a pawn, a damsel, a soldier?

I honetsly don't think he really sees her as an individual right now, at least not yet. She's Rachel's (and Ben) daughter and Miles' niece, that's it. Maybe that can change if he actually spends time with her (we can dream).

What's Monroe going to do with a kid when he finds him? Get tips from the Miles school of parenting *laughs*. OR WORSE, The Tom Neville school of parenting. He'll probably be the worst clingy dad, with his 20 something kid going all "who are you? Get away from me! Being you biological offspring does not make you my dad!" While Monroe is all ( ... )
