I was most excited. I loved Monroe and his gently threatening little show. He is a very precise little despot and I am pretty sure Tom widdled just a wee bit there.

Not sure what they are doing with Rachel though? Absolving Miles? The big 'goodbye' scene we say with Charlie et al wasn't actually the last time they saw Mom? She came back, hung around another year and then got nabbed by a wily Strausser while walking to grandma's house?

Naw, I still think Monroe didn't know that Rachel was working with Miles. Once Monroe found out, he somehow convinces Miles that Rachel is dead and that is what finally pushes Miles into his attempt at killing Monroe.

As I said to penndragon, I just hope Kripke gives us the answer to the Rachel captivity timeline soon.

I did squeak a little bit more this week. I wasn't that convinced by those webisodes where Tom on his own went off to sniff sparkly sex workers and touch Privates... but Bass makes everything so much more fun. Sweaty, but fun :D

Are they retconning like the wind? Or are we going to find that Miles thought Rachel had been set free/escaped/died a death of a thousand papercuts?

Anyone want to start laying bets on whether Kripke really will answer all our questions?

I thought this episode and the first were the best of the five, likely due to the Monroe and Tom interaction.

I still think that Rachel was working with Miles without Bass knowing anything about it...and when Bass found out he concocts some story to convince Miles that Rachel is dead. How long that happens before Miles' first attempt at killing Bass is the question. In this episode Bass does say that Rachel has been uncooperative during her time there, and that Miles doesn't know he has her. Those two statements imply to me that Bass has had Rachel for a while and that her "death" was the straw that broke the camels back in Miles' loyalty to Monroe.

As for Kripke, I doubt he'll answer all our questions, we've got numbers on our side!

Hopefully we'll at least get the answers to the timeline of Rachel's captivity soon.

Isn't this webseries set sometime after Miles first tried to assassinate Monroe?

Yes, but apparently just AFTER Miles' first assassination attempt. That's why Neville was looking for the co-conspirators in the earlier episodes.

The question is, how long was Rachel in Monroe's captivity before the assassination attempt. Since Monroe says that Rachel has been uncooperative during her time there, that implies he's held her for a while. Yet, he also says that if Miles know he had Rachel he didn't think he (Monroe) would be standing there. So, that tells us that Miles believed Rachel was dead at this time, which is four years before the present day in the series.

Rachel surrendered to Miles 5 years after the Blackout, these webisodes are 11 years after the Blackout. So, how long has Monroe had Rachel?
