Grace on her computer talking to...someone.

The lighthouse turning on.

Ben being the one to sell out the world for their family...sort of dragging Rachel down morally.

Everything being Danny's fault (if you take a really cynical view).

Rachel meeting Dark!Miles after leaving Ben and the kids.

Miles being responsible for the Militia happening (which was so, so, awesome).

....idk pick one. Coz I can't.

This probably isn't what you mean at all, but for me the thing I really didn't see coming was how much I started to care about Monroe. Over the 10 episodes I got so involved in the unfolding story of the breakdown of Miles and Monroe's friendship/brotherhood/relationship that, for me, it became as, if not more, important than why the power went out.

I'm usually all about the paladins in a story so finding myself caught up in worrying over the (for want of a better word) bad guy was quite a surprise for me.

Credit has to go to the writers for some excellent characterisation, and to David Lyons for his portrayal of Monroe. Of course, it doesn't hurt that the man has very pretty eyes and a smile that could kickstart my gran's ovaries :)

For me it was liking Charlie as much as I do - I was all 'eeee Monroe' from the start, but Charlie was self-righteous in stupid ways and I kept face-palming over her almost aggressive naïvety. Now she is up there with my favourite characters and I am anxious she doesn't lose her primary position in the cast.

Ben being the one to sell out the world for greed.

Miles being the founding father of the Militia and worst than Monroe

Miles tried to assassinate Monroe, before running off (or during?)

Jason being a Neville

Different interpretation: I didn't see myself liking Charlie so damn much. Episodes 1-5 I pretty much despised her, but then around episode 6-7 she really evolved as a character and I grew to love her. Too bad they failed with Jason, Danny and Nora.
