Is anyone close to Little Rock, Arkansas?

It would be great if we could meet.

Today, I was invited to give a talk there in May. I'm very excited, unwilling to curb the giddiness as the deal is not final yet. But there is a realistic hope that after 18 years, I might visit the US again.

When in May? I'm not close... but if the timing works out, I might be able to make things happen.

P.S. Mr. PJ and I are starting to put together preliminary plans for an extended European vacation in late 2012. How close are you to Prague?

The event is the 17th-19th and I will have to be present on that full time. Around that, I won't know until I learn the flight details.

Prague is basically 'round the corner - 170 km. No problem to come over to see you. Wow! Exciting day!

Damn! Were I still living in Memphis, it would be a 2-hour drive. Alas, now it would be a 2000-mile journey, so I guess it's not feasible. :(

Ehm. No, I didn't sign up. To tell the truth, I'm scared to not be able to follow through with the commitment. On one hand, the career is picking up (see, Arkansas in mid-May) which is a good thing. But on the other, I'm finding that it steals away my writing joy. Summer should be easier, but that is exactly what I thought about May a few weeks ago.

I didn't know you knew I existed with so many people battling for your attention. Wow! Signing up, if there is still time. RL will have to yield. Somehow.
