A vast majority of reviews I received for the last chapter of 'Cleared' complained that my ending was too open and that I wrapped the story up too abruptly. Although I believe that a part of this perception might be a result of a misunderstanding - the story is NOT a Romance, and HG/SS readers are used to fanfics aiming at getting those two

Thanks, I loved that comment - some kind of relationship, no one can deny there is one, although not a romantic one. Yes, I believe Snape will take MANY years before he manages to form a relationship where he wouldn't feel either attacked or exploited.
Dragons, dragons... I just suffered a major disappointment with the dragon story. My previous LJ entry was about the dragons. See? There is progress, and I'm even keeping you informed!

Regarding Snape and relationships - with Hermione I see another problem. He really regards her as a student and probably as an annoying one (we cannot really know, with him a death eater and slytherins around all the time). And Hermione is still seventeen for god's sake! She might be premature in some ways, but she is childish in others still! And he is almost forty. Long lifespan notwithstanding, they need time to grow fond of each other, to get experiences in life other than school or espionage.
