I guess I can unserstand why people think some of those things, because he IS a bit eccentric, which many people take for stupidity, but still...

With the Gai/Lee pairing, I'm not a big fan of it myself but as long as people don't totally butcher the characters I'm okay with it. I just usually stay away anyway. >_>

Gai-sensei is NOT incapable of learning the other ninja arts.

They probably thought that because they didn't equate Ninkame (Sp?) (the turtle) as Gai's summon... or didn't see Gai use "dispel" with Kakashi to ward off the sleep stuff at the chuunin exams.

*goes back into lurk mode*
