this site? They have a gorgeous, gorgeous selection of roses, and I can't buy any of them. I know it's probably hopeless for me to even consider growing these out on my little roof space. I'm all excited when the seed catalogs come in, lol. I love everything in them, but bulbs are so expensive! Lilies and gladiolas are my faves.
I just read an older entry of yours and you were talking about pink daffodils. You're the only person I know besides my family that would even know there CAN be pink daffodils.

It's funny about the pink daffodils -- when I was younger, I used to spend summer vacations with my grandparents in Vermont. My grandmother is an avid gardener, and she always had a seemingly never-ending array of catalogs and magazines coming in the mail. I would sit around for hours looking at them, and occasionally cut out and save some of the pictures.
That was probably about 20 years ago (gah, I'm almost 30 now >_<). And yet just a couple of weeks ago I was sorting through a box of papers, and found one of those clippings from all those years ago -- of pink daffodils! So naturally that sent me off to see if and ( ... )

My Grandma always had seed catalogs too. She still does, but I order a bunch for myself now. Even if I don't buy much, I still love looking at them.
I cut out some pictures when I was younger, but there was always nice pictures on the other side, so I could never choose which picture I wanted, so I just kept the whole thing :D
