That was pretty lovely - I especially enjoyed the reference to Achilles' heels, since it is before he's killed and all. I like your Chiron, too; I generally don't think much on the non-gods (the satyrs are usually as far as I think) and the heroes, including the Centaurs. This does seem like it is/could be very in character for him; though bearing in mind that I do know only very little about Chiron, so I could just be projecting.
