Yes, I realised that the Warwick machine was living a little adrift of time just after I posted ...

Have now uploaded and install 92 windows updates (Yes, 92 ...) upgraded to Office 2003, managed to re-synch my Mendeley library (thank the goddess of the internet for cloud computing!) and checked that yes, I do have my thesis files safely on the portable passport. *phew*

It's awful but perhaps not as awful as it might have been, which is a good thing. So sorry you're having to cope with all this with everything else you have to juggle. ::Hugs::

I could have done without this one. *sigh* Still, I seem to have most of the things I need back up and running on an older machine. I've actually managed to work through a third of a chapter today, which is progess of a sort!

Can you send me an email so I have your new address to hand? (Because, among other things, all my recent email contacts are locked in the mail box of the machine that's away at the shop. :-( It's gonna take me weeks to sort out all the non-urgent things when I finally get it back ...)
