The Queen walked through her dark chamber as she searched for her magic book of evil incantations. Broken bones scattered the dark, dusty floor along with moldy papers and empty glass bottles where rodents and insects took purchase. A small, slightly rough looking black bird flew around the dark room, squawking as it passed the various Spider webs and moldy books that resided in the up most book shelf. The queen mumbled incoherent words as she circled the room looking for the book that contained the very spell that would rid the world of the prince. The black bird swooped down and sat purchase on an old stone that had fallen from the archway long ago. Letting out a loud screech, the bird signaled the queen to come near him. As the queen advanced the bird flew off to the window ceil, leaving the queen slightly confused, until her gaze fell upon the brown worn binding that peeked from underneath the gray stone. With a wicked smile, she pulled the stone off and snatched up the book. Blowing off the dust, she walked over to her worktable, which was littered with glass bottles and tubs.

The book didn’t look like anything mystical or evil, it simply had a plain brown leather cover with the words ‘Book of incantations’ itched in gold across the front. The corners where worn down from there once sharpness to round and smooth; the pages had turned an ugly shade of yellow, it was clear that both water and smoke from the furnace have gotten to the poor piece of literature. Crinkling was heard in the quiet room and the queen opened the evil book. Letting out a chuckle, she ran her finger up and down each page, searching for the perfect spell from her stepson. Her dark eyes scanned every line on that vile yellow paper; a few pages were turned until she stopped and let out a small laugh. “Death by sleep” She read off the page aloud. “Perfect, now for a disguised.” The queen smirked as she went over to the other side of the table were a series of tubs took purchase.

The Queen rubbed her hands in excitement as she gathered the necessary ingredients; mummy’s dust, the first item needed, hard to get, but with the right connections you could get almost anything, the queen has such connections so she could have the item when she was in times of need. Going over to a crowded cabinet, she pulled out the small, half-empty gray vile. She shook it before going back to her table; she poured in the mummy dust with a smile of satisfaction before she went in search for the other items necessary for the destruction of Kibum. The Black Bird watched from the window as the queen walked around the chamber, his black eyes shone like marbles trying to understand this dark magic the queen used. Once again, the queen was the cabinet, tossing bottles down as she searched for the correct one. “Ah, here it is Dark As Night.” As the queen walked, she opened the bottle before tossing the contents inside her test tube. She opened a series of bottles and added the items to mixture calling out their respective names as she did so. “ An old hags crackle !” A loud laughter followed suit making the bird fly off in a frantic fashion, knocking over a skull that sat on the perch next to it.

The Queen smirked before adding the next ingredient, “A Scream of fright!” She yelled as the room suddenly flashed and a low scream of horror sounded throughout the room, piercing the queen’s ear, but yet she smile as if she were listening to soft music. “A blast of wind and blot of light!” Wind rush out of nowhere, blowing the papers and scattered bones around, Mice and insects ran for cover, in fear being swept up with the other, now flying, articles. Lightening followed suit, shooting out from the sky, through the window, landing in the blow that the mixture resided in. Flashing, the brilliantly lit mixture swirled into numerous colors finally settling clear. With a slight smile the queen pour herself a glass of the liquid and brought the cup up to her lips and drunk the contents. After the liquid passed her lips the queen threw down the cup and the remains of the magical juice spilled across the floor. The rodents raced over to lap up the liquid, as the queen began to transform into a hideous elder woman. The bird let out a shrill screech once the queen finish her transformation; her black hair was now one of whiter, her skin sagged with age. Her voice changed into a huskier, crackly one of an elder woman. The clothes she wore fit no longer, due to the fact that she had shrunk in size and grew a hump on her upper back as her body hunched over.

The queen let out a crackle as she stood up right, “How do I look?” She asked the black bird, who in response screeched and began to fly franticly around. The queen smiled evilly before going back to the table to create the mixture that would be Kibum’s undoing.

~♥~Prince Jinki walked to his golden horse as he thought of the fare prince Kibum.

“Son!” His father called making him turn to face the much elder man.

“Yes father?” The prince asked as the king came to a stop in front of his son. The paired looked very similar; both had luscious brown locks that blew in the light breeze of spring. Each had a brilliant heart shaped face and beautiful dark eyes, the youths were much more excitable as the elder were wore from age. The only real differences of the two were that Jinki was much taller and his nose belonged to his deceased mother.

“Where are you going at such an hour? The grand ball will begin in a few short hours, and at that ball you will be picking your bride.” The King stated in a proud tone as the prince began to mount his horse. Once on the horse the prince picked up the reigns and smiles.

“I am in need of no bride searching tonight father, I have found one already.” Jinki said with a terrific smile as she tugged on the reigns and began to ride leaving his father in pleasant shock. The wind blew threw Jinki’s hair as went in search for his one true love, the one who makes his heart sing in pure ecstasy; his one and only, prince Kibum.

~♥~  Kibum washed the fresh red apples that he picked earlier for the pie he’s making for the nine ladies to show his appreciation. In the short three weeks he has stayed with the group of nine, he has grown fond of them and likes to think of them like the family he’s never had. They show the prince what it felt like to truly have fun and not worry about his stepmother glooming over his shoulder, shattering whatever happiness he had. The boy had never partied or gone to fairs or just simply relaxed and had fun. That was the reason he was so nervous the night before when the girls decided to hold an informal dance. He stood there in fear that his stepmother would come in and beat him for even attending such a party, but after a while, he joined in the festivities. All ten of them played numerous games, sang, and danced until they passed out on the dance floor.

Kibum began to peal and cut the apples, their soft, fresh scent filling the room. Small blue birds came forth and began to prepare the piecrusts as they sang a happy working song. With a smile, Kibum began to fill the pies with apples then laid another piece of dough on top. The two little birds made small, delicate designs on top of the crust before Kibum happily put the pies in the fire to bake. “Hello.” An old, worn voice called from the window making the prince jump in fright. The boy quickly turned around to see an almost terrifying old woman dressed in a black cloak. Her white hair framed her slightly red, wrinkled face.

“Oh Hello.” Kibum replied, going to the window.

“What is a lovely young man like yourself doing all alone in a place such as this?” the elderly woman asked motioning to the cottage.

“ I Like it here,” Kibum said with a bright happy smile, and that was truth. He really did like it there, he had a family, a place to call home, and no one there to judge him. He didn’t even get teased or treated differently for being a prince or having the nickname of ‘snow white’. The young man felt like he finally belonged.

“Is that so?” The elderly woman said with a smile, “So tell me, do you believe in magic?”

“Of course I do, we even grown magic smiling peas in the garden. Why do you ask?” Kibum replied as he cleaned the dishes that he dirtied making the pies.

“Because, my dear child, I have a truly magical fruit in my basket.” The woman reached into her beautifully woven basket and pulled out a bright red, round apple. “See here, this apple in my hands is a magic apple.”

“A magic apple?”

“Yes, it holds the power to make all your wildest wishes come true, all you have to do is take a bite into it.” The woman smiled and placed the apple on the counter in front of the young lad.

“You’re giving this to me?” The boy asked picking up the fruit and holding it to face.

“Of course my dear, you see I have many of them and my basket is too heavy, you will be actually doing me a favorite by taking that weight off my hands.” The old woman patted Kibum’s cheek. “Why don’t you take a bite before the magic wares off.” Kibum nodded before bringing the fruit to his mouth and mumbling his wish. With a smile, the young boy took a bite of the said magic fruit. “How do you feel deary?”

“Kind of funny actually.” Kibum said in a low voice as his eyes drifted shut and his body fell limp. The Prince collapsed onto the floor, the red, bitten apple rolled from his hand and onto the floor. The old woman smirked and let out a low chuckle before turning on her heel and walking off into the forest.

“I finally got rid of that stupid, little brat.” The woman, who was really the queen herself, stated as she walked back towards her castle to claim herself the farest one in all the land. Animal witnesses scattered around franticly as they began to search for the party of nine that resided inside of these very woods. Animals of all shapes and sizes ran over rocks and fallen trees, passing through bushes and creeks as they races to find the girls. Birds began screeching as they reached the mine in which the girls worked trying to signal a call of distress.

“What’s that noise?” Sooyoung asked as she put down her pickaxe to cup her ear, so that she could pick up the sound more clearly.

“I don’t know.” Yuri replied jumping off of a rock to join the others who were currently walking towards the front of the cave in pure wonder.

“Animals !” One called as a sea of many woodland creatures poured into the cave. The animals pulled and pushed the nine females, trying to urge them out of their dim workspace to return home to the injured prince. The girls let out a series of screams before the animals were able to get them on the backs of the deer who raced back towards the cottage.

“I wonder what’s going on!” Yoona called out earning a shrug of a few of the others.

“Maybe there’s something wrong with Kibummie!” Taeyeon yelled as they broke through the underbrush and stopped in front of the cottage. The girls dismounted and rushed through the door and crowded around the sleeping figure that was Prince Kibum.

“Is he dead?” Sunny asked holding onto Hyoyeon’s arm, in utter sadness.

“No, look he’s breathing.” Seohyun stated pointing to the chest of the man, which steadily rose and fell. The girls began to tear up at the sight of their family member.

“Who did this to him?” Hyoyeon asked, as she rubbed Sunny’s back. Suddenly the crackle of leaves and quiet cursing was heard making the girls turn towards the source. A figure dressed in black walked slowly along their woods; the girls began to charge.

“Yuri, Yoona, you stay here.” Taeyeon commanded as she ran of the door, the girls mumbled affirmative before settling down next to the prince. The other Six follow their leader and they chased down the figure. “Stop!” The eldest yelled making the person turn before increasing in speed. The girls chased the figure up a winding hillside, avoiding many boulders that were thrown at them

“You’ll never catch me!” the queen yelled, her voice returning to normal as her potion wore off.

“Isn’t that the queen?” Tiffany asked as they ran faster up the hillside.

“Its too late anyways children, you cannot save him.” The queen yelled once she reached the top of the mountain-like hill. Glancing around the queen picked up a small tree that had blown over and wedged it underneath a large bolder. Putting all her force into it she began to try to push the bolder down the hill to squash the young girls who ran up to their friends rescue. The bolder finally began to move when a brilliant bolt of lightening shot from the sky, striking the queen dead. The sound of thunder was heard before a light calming rain fell from the heavens. The girls looked up at where the queen once stood before returning home to their fallen friend.

~♥~   The word of the sleeping prince slowly spread throughout the land, the search for the cure turned into many months of waiting. Many came to try to different potions to curse the prince from his sleeping state, but none worked. After a spring and a summer of waiting the household began to lose all hope. It was not until the fall when a glorious prince show on his horse. Without saying a word, the Prince walked to the resting place of Kibum and kneeled. Taking the cold hand of Kibum he smiled and shed a small tear.

“I’ve finally found you.” Prince Jinki whispered before leaning down and placing a soft kiss on the cold lips of Kibum. Suddenly a brilliant light shot from the chest of sleeping figure and encircled both of the male figures. The nine females watched in shock as the light faded to reveal the now awake prince Kibum. A small smile appeared on the lips of Kibum before he sat up and kissed the other passionately.

“I knew you would come.” Kibum whispered before wrapping his arms around the others neck. Prince Jinki smiled before picking up his new love and carrying him to his horse; where they both mounted before riding off. “Goodbye!” Kibum yelled back to the nine in the cottage before disappearing with his prince into the sunset.
