I have totaled up all the money I spent on the trip to London and the damage is far less than I expected. In fact, I managed to go very much under what I had projected for the trip! So, yay! Today I swung by the Highline Park for the first time, which is a fantastic postmodern space which transformed a set of a elevated train tracks into a public park. It's been a good few days. I went back to NJ to visit the family, and my mother bought me a pair of brown riding boots that actually fit--I have very large calves due to my years of ice skating and so very rarely do high boots actually make it all the way up to my knees. Shopping at Macy's (especially the disorganized and poorly run branch in my area) is always draining for me. I've been on a grilled cheese sandwich making kick and have been testing all kinds of cheese: sharp cheddar, colby jack, smoked gouda, and brie. I did a bunch of little things around my apartment I've been meaning to. Steamed/ironed some clothing, hung it, took a shower, redid my nails in a shimmery white color.
