It's weird not having a holiday music season. Admittedly, the extra work has been stressful enough of late that I'm not complaining, but still weird. Next year, though, hopefully :)
I couldn't get to the TCGMC holiday concert this year, as I had other events to go to this weekend. I heard from other people who went (who had never been before) that they loved it.
Christmas is often wrapped up in all sorts of memories. This year probably has different meanings for you and it triggers memories, etc. Stress is only compounded at this time of year, isn't it? Both work and church would probably be pretty stressful at this season, and from what you've written this year probably has the volume turned up on the stress levels.
Best wishes to you both for a relaxing, restful, rejuvenating Christmas, and the hope that 2010 will bring you great happiness and tremendous success in all your endeavors!
Dang! I can't believe I missed it! I worked all weekend and didn't make it out for any evening events. For what it's worth, I blogged about holiday events at lyricliving.com and it was linked to facebook and twitter for The Lyric. I recommended that folks attend the TCGMC concerts.
