Well, yesterday I remembered reading Wednesday, which I don't usually do in weeks where I have Monday off, and totally blanked on the talking meme! So here's yesterday's question today:

Thank you very much for answering my question! I confess that I asked because we seem to be drawn to very similar stories and pairings (I started following your journal years ago due to Remus / Sirius, and have recently dipped back in due to Raven Cycle / SoC/CK), and have been thinking about the things that I tend to become fannish about (fannish defined broadly: I don't write fic myself or even read that much, aside from occasional binges - I suppose I mean that feeling of falling in love with a particular world or set of characters of whatever, that deep emotional connection to a creative work). So, from a pairings perspective, it's very clear to me that what appeals to be about Remus / Sirius is pretty much exactly the same as what appeals to me about Adam Parrish / Ronan Lynch (because I don't care what Maggie Stiefvater says, the Raven Boys ARE the Marauders), but then Kaz / Inej (<3 <3 <3) doesn't necessarily map neatly onto anything else that I'm into, so ...?

Oh, the Raven Boys are TOTALLY the Marauders. I said that about twenty pages into the first book! Except with less terrible betrayal and auxiliary member Henry Cheng reporting for duty at the end. *g*

I think Kaz/Inej is a partners in crime couple that you might normally see with a m/m pairing. Kaz is the mastermind and Inej is his spy/knife in the dark, and they're just so deliciously fraught not just because of their issues but because of how their roles in the crew and personally intersect.
