with her killer graces and her secret places

a. Dear JKR, please stop talking. I don't see how Ron/Hermione is your biggest regret when you killed Sirius with a CURTAIN, didn't actually make Dumbledore gay in the text, and also gave us Remus/Tonks, the most unconvincing romance you wrote, which is really saying something. no love, me.

4. I seem to mostly write about people who've been separated by tragic circumstances reuniting and trying to figure out their relationship going forward after all the bad stuff has happened - Sirius and Remus post-Azkaban and Steve and Bucky are the two clearest examples of this, but there were also (less tragic) elements of it in Danny and Rusty and Sam and Dean. Who are they now and what does it mean etc. etc ( ... )

I feel like if I tried to write Bruce Wayne, the descent into parody would be immediate, so I can definitely understand.

Yeah, he's a hard line to walk, I think. I've mostly avoided it, even though there are stories I would like to write that would probably work better from his POV.

I think it's great that, after a decade of them being smacked around by the rest of fandom with her apparent tacit approval of Emerson's "Delusional" crack, JKR's given the Harmionians a not-quite-quote of their very own to strike back with.

Now I'm just enjoying the spectacle of the two opposing armies massing grimly for battle, preparing to renew their Jihad, each flying the identical banner of their faith:

J. K. Rowling is on our side!

How much more hilarious can this fandom get?

See, I would have preferred to let that wank lie. No giving any ammo to the Harmonians!

Ah, I hate to see anybody bullied, and the fandom's been bullying the Harmonians for a decade.

I got no skin in this game, because anyone who isn't a Trio Shipper is just kidding themselves for the sake of normativity.

I guess I always saw them as giving as good as they got, but I haven't been in the fandom for a really long time.

I, too, and a trio-shipper, but oddly enough, if I have to split them into pairs, while I really like both Ron/Harry and Ron/Hermione, I just can't be having with Harry/Hermione.

Yeah, it comes out of nowhere and is so poorly written, and it completely drains Tonks of everything that made her interesting in OotP.

I adore the Harry Potter books but she really needs not to tell us these things. It's undermining, not affirming.

And for the meme? 1! :)

Yeah, I get having regrets, but talking about them publicly is just... it strikes me as poor form. The books are done! Let them speak for themselves.

1. Huh. My usual answer for this question is A Million Light Years from Home, which is the Sirius on Serenity story, and I think that's a good answer, because it's a story that shouldn't work, that sounds like utter ridiculousness, but it does. And that's a true answer, though I could have listed ten other stories here that would be equally true. *g*

Wait- why does she regret that? Bc of the Harry/Hermoine wank, or...? I was never in the fandom (honestly I never even read all the books) so I am probably out of a lot of major loops.

She says that Hermione ending up with Ron was wish fulfillment on her part and she should have changed it instead of sticking to it (even though it's the only well-developed romance in the books), and that they would probably need counseling because their relationship wouldn't work. I don't think she came out and said Hermione would be better off with Harry, but that's the angle the media and fandom have run with.
