So you know how I had that great idea to encourage me and Mr. 42 to get to bed earlier? Well, that sorta went out the window when he rolled in from vacation with the girls around 11pm last night. I shouldn't complain, but it's been one of the coldest winters on record in SoCal, and we're finally not in drought, so it's no wonder that a normal amount of rain feels excessive here.

Most definitely! I was feeling especially on edge because an beer friend's wife of 25 years passed away this week, and he was encouraging everybody who knew and loved her to make sure to spend time with people you love, and I was all YES but also *waaaaah*

As someone who's not married and yet loves that so many of my friends and family members are in happy, healthy marriages that feed their souls, I always think marital homecomings are marvelous. (And pet* dog homecomings are the most beautiful and pure expressions of love ON THE PLANET.

Also, OMG at Ron's sneezes and his wife's response. I started wheezing I was laughing so hard!

*let's be honest... cat homecomings = not great

Although Clara's greeting cracked me up. She squealed and met me on the landing for love, but then she ran up the stairs and disappeared into the bedroom. She did eventually come back down for more loves, but I LOLed.

Yeah, homecomings are awfully nice, especially keenly anticipated ones. <3
