I hate it when my Dad phones me up drunk. He gets very mushy, and it makes me feel incredibly guilty that I do not see him so much, because truthfully I miss him, a lot. He reminisces about when I was little, and goes on and on about how much he loves me. I alway come off the phone needing a hug, preferably from him. I never cry while I am on

Will you be able to see your dad over the holidays?

He is due back on the 24th, but he did not sound very optimistic. It all depends on the weather, and its always iffy in Winter. His platform is off the Norwegian coast, & strong winds have delayed his last few trips, both there and back. Even if he does make it home in time, it's likely I won't see him until at least the 27th.
