I have a glass jar that is half full of Reese's Pieces. This particular batch was bought on my trip to New York City in May. I love them, but because I have them available if I want to eat them, I do not crave them as much as when I don't have any. It takes me ages to empty the jar; infact, I don't think I have ever emptied it before another

Reeses Pieces go bad?

I must admit, I wasn't exactly sure how long they had been hiding in the drawer -maybe over a year-, but they had a strong perfume-like taste. They were truly awful :O( I am just guessing, but maybe it was something to do with the oils?

I remember once my mom kept a bag of M&Ms in a leather pocketbook and forgot they were in there...they sort of absorbed the "flavor" of the pocketbook (which also had perfume and lipstick inside...blechh!).

Maybe that's what happened to your Reeses?
