Okay, the first time BeruBara: Andre Hen was performed, it was quite possibly the worst allotment of nibante stage time I had ever seen.  (Seriously, Micchan didn't show up on stage for an hour.  That's simply not how you treat the nibante role) . But I figured that while you could get away doing that to a sanbante who had been bumped up to a ( Read more... )

*wince* The role is really that bad? Oh Eritan~ ;_; I really really hope that they do stick her in some more scenes; it's not fair otherwise (not that I'm saying it was fair for Micchan...) And if not, they'd better make up for it in the revue. >_>

It's not so much that it's a bad role as much as Alain got very, very little stage time the last time around. In the soragumi version, the entirety of Alain's scenes were:

1. Prologue stuff/otokoyaku dance
2. (An hour later) Alain has some dialogue with the other guards, and then during a mock fight realizes that Andre can barely see.
3. Alain sings a short song on the ginkyou, and then transitions in the scene where the rest of the guards find out that Andre is mostly blind (this scene is absolutely hilarious, albeit unintentionally)
4. Revolution scene, in which Alain doesn't have any lines but gets to hold up Andre after he's shot

I actually really liked the little of Micchan's Alain that I saw. She's often cast in white hat roles, and it was a lot of fun to see her playing gruff Alain. I just wish there had been more of her :/

All of this being said, I feel like I read somewhere that the hanagumi version would be a little different? So there's some hope.

... I do not like waking up to crazy cast lists like this.
