Is it just me, or do some aspects of the Doctor Who S3 episode "The Sound of the Drums" bear a striking resemblance to the Lois and Clark S4 episode "Lois and Clarks"? Specifically the whole national-leader-hypnotizes-the-country-with-a-phone-signal thing.

And, goodness, David Tennant is awesome.

Yeah... I noticed that too. Another thing I noticed was the Master putting on an oxygen mask and gassing everyone else in the room, being quite similar to another L&C villain's doing. *g*

I'm not sure it's even a coincidence, as I've noticed Rusty "borrowing" stuff from Joss Whedon as well, but far be it from me to out his inoriginality. I still love him.

I should say that "inoriginality" could also be just a copious amount of homages, an idea which I like much better. *g*

Yeah, a lot of us noticed that at the time, too, hence this icon ;)

And have we converted you to the wonder that is Doctor Who? Need some pointing in the direction of appropriate communities, sources of fic and so on? *grin*

Not quite yet; I'm still at the it's-just-a-nice-way-to-pass-a-Saturday-afternoon phase. But there's still hope; you never know when the spark will strike! :)
