I enjoyed reading that. Currently loving A2A like you. I saw LOM after seeing the first series of A2A and I think that LOM is marginally better, mostly because of a certain Mr Simm. Although I'm finding A2A frigging hilarious lately. Very intrigued to see how it will end. Sam had no commitments to keep him in the future so to speak, whereas Alex has Molly so it'll be interesting.

I'm happy to do this on my LJ but I only have one fandom ;)

That's a very good point. Sam had his mum but no significant other or children whilst Alex has Molly - her ties to the future are much stronger than Sam's. Sam was a better character, but Alex seems to have a better story. And Gene ... 80's Gene is fabulous! :)

If we widen it to include interests, then we have photoshop, web site hosting etc and playing in an orchestra. Does that help any?!

I am currently rewatching season 1 of LoM on telly and LOVING IT, although I definitely think giving Gene someone to have sexual tension with was an improvement - on an already very very good show. Also, as everyone else in RL seems to think that "time-travelling cop" is a crap concept (maybe I just explain it wrong?) I'm usually watching it on my own, which is fine, because then I can just shout Gene's name at the best bits and clap excitedly! (Same goes for A2A.)

If they wrap it up well (happy ending for Gene/Alex and Molly!), I'd be sad, but fine with just two seasons. It's probably also because there's so little of it that the show gets to be so very very good.

LOM is the only programme that I ever watched on my own that I *made* Mr T watch when I got the boxed set for Christmas. We're now watching A2A and doing the pointing / shouting thing at Gene.

I keep hoping that Alex gets back to Molly and then meets present day Gene in a wine bar :D (Dramas based around sexual tension usually become crap once the sexual tension is resolved. So, closing episode please!)

And you're right about the small number of seasons being one of the reasons it's so good. :) But I will be so sad when it's all over.

Thought I was going to have to play the RA card but your interests include Angel / Buffy, Dr Who and LOM / Ashes to Ashes. Looking forward to reading what you've got to say about those those :)
