I'm told it is even more awesome on IMAX but I don't think my brain could take that much awesome without exploding.I will own the dvd though. I loves me some Speed Racer - but I want to take Racer X off into a dark corner all alone......

I don't know if you read my review, Teeeeem, but don't go look back on the cartoons. They just aren't as good as you remember.

I did miss your journal entry! It was with a couple others that I wanted to catch up on this weekend. I agree with everything you said, too.

And, yeah, on reflection, it was more sixties than seventies. But, yeah, not in our universe is a good way to put it. Car that drives up a cliff? At least there was a passing attention to physics there...the "Big Drop" is where my brain started flashing yellow. (And a kid in the audience behind me exclaimed, "No way!")

I had the driving dream again last night, except I woke up this time while trying to find the "A" button on my steering column. :-D

goto toys r us and buy the track :)

cue the video came, i'm sure :)

at least racing made sense in this movie, unlike the silly extended sequence in star wars which was a video game unto itself for the most part (an actual game based on the movie racing)
