Not to denigrate Japan, but that's an awfully limiting theme.

But I wouldn't mind being part of a con suite simple cooking contest. :-)

I suggested Jazz to a number of people, and the response has been enthusiastically positive.

Probably. This silliness came from when we were both talking about how well-received her efforts were and how little (unfortunately) leftovers remained and what she could do next year.

I'm sure the speculation on 'J will start happening sometime in earnest sometime around, say, October of this year.

Having caught a few of the Iron Chef shows with the theatrics involved, it could turn into a cool LARP. We could get a few EZ-Bake ovens and cast a suitably imposing Chairman..."The secret ingredient will be...butterscotch!" Haven't there been SNL spoofs of those shows?
