After visiting Jack, Parker headed back to her room to play with her new gifts. Specifically, the lockpicks. She'd gotten a couple locks to practice with, and was thinking of how to tease another, more difficult lock to open up. She'd thought she had the trick of it Thursday night, when she visited Weiss, but last night's birthday party had shown

Broots knocked on the door and hoped Parker was in.

Parker put the picks and lock in a drawer, then went over and opened the door. "Broots? Hi."

"Happy Birthday?" Broots asked. "I tried to stop by yesterday but the mun was busy the room was kind of packed."

"Hunh. Thanks." Parker couldn't help the smile, although she cocked a sardonic eyebrow at him. "You're never going to meet new people by choice, are you?"
