First Day!
Today is my first day back to work in four months, not counting my part time job. Even though it resembles Siberia outside, I am wicked excited. I drove in this last night, from Lansdowne to PHL to NoLib to Media and it was very white-knuckle, but i made it to media, so i can make it to Ridley today. im making a list of open houses to go see today. i've only got three on my list right now, but its a slow time of year for open houses. i'll be hitting brookhaven, eddystone, and ridley park today. i know, not the fanciest towns, but i alone make as much as a poor couple. so i end up looking in poorer towns. i'm ok with that. i just wish delaware ( Read more... ) -

I'm a little embarrassed to ask this, but i haven't worn a 'work outfit' to work in like 2 years. i also haven't been to work before 9:30 am in years either, but that's neither here nor there. ive already looked at jcrew, old navy, banana republic, and lands end. where else can i find cute work clothes that'll go up to a size 16? A Whirlwind 24 Hours
It sounds lame and cheesey but, its the flat-out truth. As of about noon yesterday, my house officially went on the market, i got a JOB OFFER!!!! at more money than i was making, and i got a call that my first buyer is coming this morning ( Read more... ) -
The hard choices
I've been out of work for nearly three months. It's getting somewhat impracticle for me to keep my condo without a job. So today a realtor came by and it'll be on the market by the weekend. I'm hopeful I'll get a job. I'm hopeful my house will sell. Then I can just buy a new place. But I can't live in a world of just hope and no action.

If i ever get a decent job again and i can continue to be uber-frugal, i want to travel more. i already have a little 'dream trip' planned out. i start school tonight. im a little nervous. im old. i haven't finished a college class in like 8 years. its an easy math class so im worried its going to be filled with morons and i'll get all hostile.
