We all miss Franco. At least he'll be back for the final issue and that little tie-in comicy thing that's supposed to be in the Yearbook.

I wish they'd just let him continue on without the soul. Really, I do.

I just wonder how Spike's soul being in Dru will effect her in that it's not her soul. The soul of Spike's poet is a little different than that of Dru's nun, but both are sort of naive and innocent in their own ways.

You're like Buffy: she, too, wants what she can't have. :)

But, seriously, these soul debates fascinate me; looks like Lynch has opened a giant can of worms.

I just wonder how Spike's soul being in Dru will effect her in that it's not her soul.

Knowing Lynch's sense of humor, I expect Dru to start writing poetry - as well as jokes about entering nunnery with a male soul.

I thought I was like Buffy because I'm stuck in a town a loathe with no gainful employment and educational plans derailed. Haha! ^_~

This turn of events makes Spike more awesome than everyone else in my opinion. Yay for Spike for not being completely psycho without his soul! Yay! XD

*hugs you*

But there must be a catch. Spike's lines are so declarative, Lynch just can't let them stand.

ooo! I hafta get me that comic!

I'm sure you can guess where I stand: souled-redemption=yay, unsouled-redemption=More YAY.

So sounds like Brian Lynch and I are in agreement. :)
\o/

OMG! And hints of Spru?? *dreamy sigh*

I love it when they never get over their old loves...

I like your your approach. I just wonder where's the catch. Because, chez Joss, there always is.

At first, Spike isn't particularly happy to see Dru again, and she is his nemesis' current lover. But the soul can make a difference.

I don't think I even have the words to express how much I dislike even the idea of this story.

I don't want to judge before I read the complete story - but I admit, the idea that Spike is good without a soul sounds very strange. I hope that the events in the next issue will call it in question.

I always thought Spike had the capacity to choose between good and evil, without his soul. I even think he did a time or two, even though his reasoning was more about his own selfish desires than about true choice ( ... )

You're welcome to rant here! *hugs*

I think the biggest problem with current Jossverse is that it's overburdened with past mythology. Sometimes - very inconsistent mythology. So, no matter what writer comes up with, he contradicts some canonical detail.

And - you're spot on about shipper wars. Nobody got upset about soulless Illyria doing good deeds. Yet soulless Spike is a different matter, because his soul issues has always been in the center of all shipper debates.
