Subject Claims List: revamped
r.u.l.e.s.
[+] general. Subject focuses allowed here will be: movies, TV, comics, videogames, actors, actresses, bands, ships,
pairings, groups, miscellaneous themes (i.e. nature, blue, snow). (this list will be added to in case I forgot anything). This excludes anime and manga as mentioned before. Since there are so many different categories, I'm going to lay out a few basic rules below:
[+] movies, videogames and TV series. When claiming a movie/TV
series, the claim will be for that particular movie only, or a particular
season of a TV series. If the movie has multiple installments, such as Star Wars, then claim one movie from the series at a time, not the entire series.
This frees up more subjects for more people to work with.
EDIT: You may claim a 'general' series, but particular seasons may also be claimed. EX: Btvs [General series] and Btvs: Season 1 [Series - Season]
[+] comics and characters. Claiming a character will extend the claim
over all movies/TV series/media he/she appeared in. For example, if you
claim Padme, then that claim extends to the Clone Wars animated micro-series
as well, plus any instances of Padme in the Star Wars comics. However, this
does not include Natalie Portman, or Natalie Portman in Garden State
- the claim is for the character in that specific role only. Claiming a
comic series will extend your claim over all issues of that comic whether
they are TPB form, one-shot, weekly, etc.
[+] actors, actresses and bands. Claiming an actor or an actress means you make your icons of the actor/actress only, and do not use images
of said actor/actress from a movie/tv series, etc. This way the characters
and actors/actresses are exclusive. That being said, feel free.
[+] ships and groups. This is a hard one, because it can get iffy. But if you choose a ship, that does not mean that the character is taken.
You can choose Han, and someone else can choose Han/Leia, and someone else
can choose Han/Leia/Luke (OMGINCEST!). However, should you choose a
ship/group, all of your subjects must be in 75 of the icons together. 25 of
the icons may be, if you so choose, for the characters separately. No
real-life ships please.
[+] miscellaneous. This can be anything - as long as it's one
specific thing, i.e. a color, a specific part of nature, a sport, a food,
shoes, armadillos. Use your imagination - the sky's the limit! (and also a
valid claim :P)
[+] You have 10 weeks to complete your challenge. Please post the
first batch within 2 weeks to keep things rolling merrily along... if after
10 weeks you're not done, the claim either gets freed up, or you can request
an extension (which you can also do at any point during the 10 weeks as
well). Feel free to claim more than one thing, as long as the different
claims are all on varying subjects/movies, etc. However, please note that
you will still only get 10 weeks from the time of each claim to complete the
challenge - so if you claim 3 at a go, you have 10 weeks to complete 300
icons.

Name of claim should be the movie (+ installment if required), TV series +
season, character name, actor/actress name, band name, miscellaneous thing
name, etc. Type of claim is what the claim is - movie, TV series, character,
ship, color, item, etc. Category is only for miscellaneous claims to
identify the type of thing being claimed, again for sorting. Parent claim
applies only to characters, ships, groups and and misc items and is for
sorting purposes - simply the TV series/movie/whatever that the ship/group
is present in and the medium of choice, or 'misc' if that is the case.
Posting username is the username you will be posting your icons under.
