I've been thinking about the video snippets we're being given in the TFU2 official site updates, and something about Kota is really bothering me.

Oh shit. D: I... really don't want to believe he's that far up his ass but there is some uncomfortable sense to this. (Unless he knew he was dealing with a psycho!clone in that one clip where he denies knowing Juno's whereabouts? Hmm.)

Fucking Old Republic Jedi.

INORITE? Ugh. I love that Galen is a precursor to Luke with the attachments thing, already shaking things up for the grouchy ol' Jedi that are left. BUT, Kota was praising the virtues of saving-love at the end of TFU1, so I don't understand why he'd be singing a different tune now... unless he has gone completely off his rocker. And if he has, the game better have a damn good explanation as to why. :/

Yeah, I'm hoping that there's a truly good reason for Kota not to be telling the truth. If we hadn't seen Obi-Wan and Yoda set up Luke to kill his father while withholding a rather important bit of information (and that's putting it charitably), I might not have been so quick to see it here. It just doesn't look good.

ETA: About love: Perhaps it was all well and good when Kota had hopes of it leading to redemption, but now that he's got his redeemed Jedi hero, he wants Starkiller to keep his head in the game and be a proper, no-banging-anyone-you-actually-care-about Jedi.

I am going to be doing a lot of fretting about this! I'm serious about my OTPs.

Only somewhat related: I'm ready for there to be more Sam Witwer out there in genre t.v. land to crush on. Just rewatched some Smallville showering, you know.

(If only I could sustain interest in video game playing. Is TFU2 out now (and more importantly, all the drama bits posted on youtube)?)

TFU2 is due out on Oct. 26 (novelization on Oct. 5). I'm sure all the good stuff will make it to youtube shortly thereafter.

I guess we'll have to wait for Skiffy's version of Being Human to see new Sam Witwer on TV. Eeeee!
