Only, there's not a lot he can do. He wanted to help the guards fight off the monsters that breached the city limits, but it resulted in a very near scrape when his magic didn't work and he had to be rescued. No matter how much he tries, his Ravager magic has completely left him, like he's lost all ability to use it on Gaia.
He's sitting on a pile of rubble outside a ruined house, frowning at his frozen brand, when he looks up in time to see a passerby. Out of an automatic reaction, he hurriedly slips his glove back on his hand to cover the marking, then realises the woman is a familiar face.]

[He stands, brushing rubble dust from his pants. He's a liiiittle bit self-conscious, but at least he's not as shy around strangers as he would have once been.]
I'm okay. I met up with some friends and we came to Alexandria, and since then I've been doing what I can to help out. [An understatement, considering he helped the Queen summon Alexander.] Um -- I just wanted to thank you for helping me out back then. I don't know if I would've made it out of there without so many people looking out for me.
