[Takes place soon after this. All the SeeDs plus Raine and Ellone have been successfully imprisoned. Laguna is out of the way too; he received special treatment. But the rest are trapped in classrooms which are now prison cells: Irvine and Selphie in one, Raine and Ellone in another, and Squall on his own.

[If he weren't tied up, Squall would have made an attempt at either the door or Rinoa. He's well aware that something is not right by this point (and he's got several ideas what) and it's killing him that he can't talk to his SeeDs - and doesn't even know if they're safe - much less actually contact the people who would understand what needed to be done in this situation.

So he settles for the best thing he can do, setting his face in his best unamused expression and all but glaring daggers at Rinoa. Of course he's looking grumpy. Why wouldn't he be?]

[If Squall thought he'd get off that easy, then he was in for an even ruder awakening.

Seifer watched the two of them from just inside the open door until the automated contraption locked into place behind him. Moving toward the pair, he stops just beside Rinoa while flashing his rival an amused smirk]

Is that any way to act? And after we went out of our way to keep you alive, too.

[Rinoa takes Seifer's hand and squeezes it before moving over to crouch beside Squall.]

Maybe he has something to say, do you think?

[She removes his gag, watching him carefully to gauge his reaction.]

[Oh, he has plenty to say, and he's practically seething at the show of... misplaced love? trust? between the two of them. How dare Seifer take what was his, what had kept him going throughout the endless fighting?

Still, he bites his tongue on those feelings, holds them inside and very carefully chooses his words, even though he can't (or maybe doesn't want to keep the anger out of his voice.]

What have you done to them?

[Them here presumably being the other SeeDs.]

By this point, Ellone was feeling more than a little betrayed. She'd already been hurt a little by Seifer earlier, but that didn't mean she wasn't ready to make things worse should their captors show up again. Currently, she was holding onto Raine as much as she could and trying to make sure the other woman wasn't stressing too badly. Unlike Raine, Ellone was used to being kidnapped.

That didn't mean she liked it any more than the last time, though.

[ooc: I'm good with Elle getting pretty hurt. She'll try to protect Raine as much as possible, though.]

[Raine's beyond stressed. She's frantic and fearful and betrayed all at once. And Elle's hurt already. So she's trying to put on a brave face and be the supportive one, although she can't quite quit shaking.]

Ellone, do you understand what this is about?

[She almost doesn't want to know the answer to that question.]

[Right now, Raine's thinking that it's pretty obvious that Rinoa is like this, and that she feels horrifically duped. And angry. She has no idea what's become of Laguna (or Selphie) and what she can imagine isn't pretty at all.]
