It's at the high end of your price range, but what about Restaurant La Dora‎? It's at 6837 Rue Sherbrooke Est, Montreal, QC H1N 1C7, Canada‎ - (514) 255-8841 according to Google Maps. That's out past the Olympic Stadium almost out the the Metro market.

We were there last weekend and there was a huge birthday party for someone who had just turned 80.

There's a nice terrace too, not that it's open in November.

You could also go to L'Academie on Crescent - affordable and BYOW. You'd have to call to see if you can reserve on a weekend.

Oooh, I hadn't thought of that. I thought that they were rather on the pricy side though?

Les 3 brasseurs on ste-catherine is nice for a birthday venue, either corner crescent or near McGill...it's on the cheap side...
