Can I ask a question? I am thinking of doing 4 icons for each of 5 cdramas I like as a set; is it okay to do each four in a different monochrime colour, thereby having 5 separate colours? (say blue, brown, green, red, purple)?

Of course it's OK. You can use as many monochrome colors as you like.
